Servo unit is one of the essential components of a service robot, mainly comprising a shell, electric control panel board, motor, position detection element, and geared motor.

Servo reducer has a high rate and high power density. All modules of gear in transmission form range from 0.15mm to 0.5mm, belonging to small-module gear. Parallel shaft gear is the transmission form that is most normal and most widely used, often being used in a traditional steering engine of aircraft model. Compared with another field, applying on the field of the robot has a high requirement for the life of reducer, and it’s more sensitive to noise. For the limitation of tooth width, using helical gear is useless to the improvement in noise. Optimizing the parameter of gear, increasing clutch structure in reducer, the gear can be saved when the reducer is attacked. Planetary gear can achieve small space and high transmission ratio, while servo unit is required to have low return difference, planetary is hard to assemble because it needs to be engaged with the sun gear and the internal gear.
